ÖZ:

Bu çalışmada gençlik döneminde görünürlük kazanan yoksulluk nedenlerinin eşiktelik yaklaşımı ile birlikte değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışmanın temel kabulü, gençlerin henüz çocukluk evresinden çıkmaları ve yetişkinlik evresine uyum sağlayamamalarından dolayı yoksulluk riski ile yüz yüze gelmeleridir. Bu bağlamda genç yoksulluğu ile eşiktelik yaklaşımı arasında ilişki kurulacaktır. Çünkü eşiktelik yaklaşımı, bireyin mevcut rolünden koptuğu ve yeni rolünü kabullenemediği bir geçiş evresini ifade etmektedir. Bu çalışma, yoksulluğun gençlere düşen payında, öne çıkan eşik dönemin etkilerini içerdiğinden önemlidir. Toplumsal refahı sağlamaya yönelik dönüştürme potansiyeline sahip gençlerin, yoksulluk riskinden uzak tutulması gerekmektedir. Bunun için hükümetler, genç yoksulluğunun dinamiklerini daha iyi anlamalı ve yoksulluğa karşı gençleri koruyan politikaların güçlendirilmesine yönelik adımlar atmalıdır.

ABSTRACT:

This paper aims to evaluate the causes of poverty that became visible in the youth period together with the liminality approach. The basic assumption of the study is that young people come face to face with the risk of poverty because they have yet to come out of the childhood stage and cannot adapt to the adulthood stage. In this context, a relationship will be established between youth poverty and the liminality approach. Because the liminality approach refers to a transitional stage in which the individual breaks away from his current role and cannot accept his new role. This study is important because it includes the effects of the prominent liminal period on the share of poverty for the youth. Young people, who have the potential to transform to provide social welfare, should be kept away from the risk of poverty. For this, governments should better understand the dynamics of youth poverty and take steps to strengthen policies that protect youth against poverty.
